COMMUNITY CHAPLAIN TRAINING
I.F.O.C. helps you bring chaplain training to your town so that we can help equip more people to serve your community when they need it most.
When crisis happens in your community,
Every community deserves someone who is trained to listen and offer spiritual care during difficult times. But many communities don’t have enough licensed chaplains ready to serve.
Hosting an I.F.O.C. class brings a proven training closer to home — and helps more people serve your community as licensed chaplains.
Chaplaincy training is for pastors, first responders, workplace leaders, volunteers, and anyone who wants to be present for people when they need it most.
We’ll teach your community how to approach the situations that many don’t know how to face.
We want to learn more about your community and needs. When you’re ready, we’ll get you on the training calendar.
You’ll reserve a location, such as a local church, for the training and begin marketing your class while we help you with the pre-planning details.
Our trained and experienced I.F.O.C. instructors will equip attendees to feel better prepared to respond to crises in your community.
1. What do I have to organize?
I.F.O.C. provides the training, instructors, materials, guidance, marketing, and an established process. The host helps provide a local space, a point of contact, and helps get the word out about the class to those who might be interested in attending.
2. Do I need to be a licensed chaplain to host?
Not at all. Anyone can host a Chaplain class.
3. What if I do not know how many people are interested?
You do not need a completed roster before contacting us. Local interest is one of the things we can discuss, and we have tools to help get the word out about your class.
4. How do I get the word out about our class?
You don’t have to be a professional marketer — you just need to reach out to your network of people and spread the word. You can enlist your network to spread the word to theirs. The best platforms to use include social media groups, your neighborhood, your church community, other church communities, networking groups, or a simple text message you send directly to your contacts.
Hosting a chaplain training class is a meaningful way to support your community while receiving valuable benefits.
If you are not currently licensed as a Chaplain, hosting a class with at least 25 students qualifies you for 50% Off your Chaplain license application fee.
Current licensed Chaplains who host a qualifying class (25 or more students) will receive a 6-month extension of their Chaplain license.
Tell us a little about your community and why you would like to explore hosting a class. Our team will contact you via email to provide additional information and to schedule a conversation to discuss what bringing I.F.O.C. training to your area could look like.
