Chaplains making an impact
Our donors enable I.F.O.C. Chaplains to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
How has IFOC impacted the world for good?
Because of our generous donors’ contributions in 2021, we continued to support our community in the areas of Chaplaincy and Crisis Response.
A key initiative of I.F.O.C is to take chaplaincy training to the nations. We believe that crisis response is one of the best ways for the body of Christ to show the love of Jesus to a hurting world. Because of our donors, we expanded our efforts to take Chaplaincy to the nations. In November 2021, Frontline Chaplains International instructors traveled to Nassau and trained the ministry’s first Chaplain class in the Caribbean.
Twenty-eight students learned how to impact their nation through Chaplaincy.
It was an honor to work with experienced ministry leaders and Christians on this trip! A Bahamian Corps of Chaplains also was established with leadership training on the last day. This group of Chaplains will support their first responders and community and be active in disaster response.
In 2022, we plan to take chaplaincy training to Barbados, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Our ability to reach the nations is only possible because of our generous donors.
Our faithful donors who provided gifts to Cover the Cost of a Current Chaplain’s Renewal throughout 2021 are gratefully acknowledged.
Because of their contributions, we were able to give 15 Chaplains scholarships!
The awardees were Chaplains who experienced various hardships. The scholarships were a great help in their time of need.
How will we choose to see 2022?
Will we see it as just an extension of the last two years with all of the challenges we faced so fresh in our minds? Is it even possible to see today as any different with many of those challenges still present?
It is.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” The scripture ends with this declaration: “Great is Your faithfulness.”
Was 2020-2021 difficult? Yes. But that doesn’t change the truth that our God’s mercies are new this morning. His love for us is steadfast, never ceasing, and He is faithful. He has something for us in 2022…and it is good. He gives good gifts to His children. It is up to us to receive them and receiving starts with believing.
We encourage you to choose to see 2022 through the lens of this scripture. To view it as a year full of His mercy, faithfulness, and love. We challenge you to even dare to get excited about this upcoming year. If His mercies are new today, then we can be new today. He is greater than our circumstances and has already overcome our yesterday with His unending love and unfailing grace. The whole world just finished celebrating the day He was born. Let’s spend today, and this coming year, celebrating that He is still alive and actively working today to make all things new. If we do, we will give Him permission to do wonderful things for us in 2022.
