1. Do I become a Licensed healthcare chaplain when I complete the course?
While the Healthcare Chaplain Training Course is a fantastic addition to your resume, it does not provide licensure upon completion. If you’d like to complete the additional training and licensing to become a chaplain, click here to learn more.
2. Does completing this course guarantee me a job or position as a Healthcare Chaplain?
Each hospital or organization will determine their own requirements for all their employees and volunteers, so the I.F.O.C. does not guarantee a position as a healthcare chaplain. Completion of this course, and the I.F.O.C. Chaplaincy Course, licensing, and Advanced Chaplaincy program, helps demonstrate competence and that you hold a professional Chaplain license when you apply for employment or a volunteer position in your healthcare system.
3. If I’m already a Licensed/Ordained I.F.O.C. Chaplain, does completing this course make me a Licensed I.F.O.C. Healthcare Chaplain?
No. Becoming a Licensed I.F.O.C. Healthcare Chaplain requires completion of both the Tier 1 Advanced Chaplain Program and the Tier 2 Healthcare Chaplaincy specialty track. Learn more about our Advanced Chaplain Program here.
