Jamaica Relief Effort

November 2025
Frontline Chaplains International / International Fellowship of Chaplains is spearheading disaster relief efforts in Jamaica and the Southern Bahamas following the destruction brought by Hurricane Mellisa. I.F.O.C. Chaplain Jonathan Carey (Regional Commander for Africa & the Caribbean) is spearheading these efforts.
The initial phase of our initiative, Relief Jamaica, involves the shipment of a 20-foot cargo container scheduled for departure on Friday, November 14, with unloading set for November 18 in Kingston, Jamaica.
Overview
The estimated value of the items contained within the shipment is approximately $80,000 USD. This was made possible through local donations and over $3,300 in donations from the USA, Bahamas, & Saipan.
Local donations were provided by residents of Key West and Miami, as well as pallets of goods from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County Schools.
Members of 461 Response South Florida loaded the container in collaboration with personnel from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Thank you to everyone who gave into this effort. You have helped bless those who Hurricane Mellisa has most impacted. Your donation mattered.
